Floodgates/Patton's Marsh

Today I went to The Floodgates at Newtownards and walked to Patton's Marsh. I saw a Kingfisher, Lapwings, Pintails, Oystercatchers, Black-tailed Godwits, Dunlin and lots of other birds. Here are the best photos.

Newcastle Co. Down

Today at Newcastle I saw a Black Redstart and a Wren at the harbour. On the journey there I saw a Red Kite at Clough and a Kestrel hunting at Carryduff. Here are some photos.

Short-eared Owl

In November I saw a Short-eared Owl at Ballymacormick Point near Bangor. Here are some photos of a Stonechat and the Owl that were taken from a distance.

S'algar Menorca

I went on holiday to Menorca last week and stayed in S'algar on the east coast near the capital city Mahon. There was lots of wildlife close to my apartment and I saw Osprey, Booted Eagle, Kestrel, Audoin's Gull, Yellow-legged Gull, Blue-rock thrush, Swifts and the very common Spotted Flycatcher.
